Happy Birthday, America!

We had an awesome Fourth of July! We were kind of on the fence about what we should do with our long weekend - we had close friends having a gathering at Lake Viking and we really wanted to go but, since I've been pretty exhausted and uncomfortable lately, we thought it would be best to stay closer to home. We started the weekend with a family date night - we intended to go to dinner and Graham's first movie but dinner ended up taking too long. Friday morning we relaxed and then planned to go to Kearney to watch the fireworks since we had such a great time last year. Our friends, Dana, Bobby and Morley, were already there with friends so we went and met up with all of them to watch the show. It was a great fireworks display and a blast watching with friends!

Saturday our cul-de-sac was having a little block party - everyone made food and got fireworks and we all met up that evening to eat and hang out. The party was set up in our driveway and lasted well into the night. It was so fun watching all the kiddos play together, seeing all the huge fireworks that were being shot off all around us and to just relax with neighbors.

I'd say we had a successful holiday!
Sunday was a low-key, relaxing day...and, we finally got to take Graham to that movie we planned on earlier in the weekend. We saw Inside Out - a success! Graham sat through the entire movie and only talked a couple times in his normal voice! :)
