Baby Update

We are getting so close to meeting our new little babe...four days to be exact. It is so hard to believe that we are just finishing up our last weekend as a family of three...update on that to come. I think having Graham around has made this pregnancy fly by since we're always focusing on him...and he is our constant entertainment!

I have to admit, I am getting more and more nervous about having a c-section - primarily b/c I don't know what to expect or what the recovery will be like - but I'm so excited to have another little love around! People have been asking if we're ready - my answer to that is yes and no. I am ready to meet the little guy and to not be pregnant anymore (this heat is brutal) but I don't think anyone is ever "ready" for a new baby. Yes, we are as prepared as we can be - the room is ready and everything is in order but, nobody can prepare for sleep deprivation! Luckily, my mom will be here to help out the first week we are home. And, we have a huge local support system here in KC which is awesome! The thing that makes me feel at ease is that, unlike with Graham, we've done this before. Our life isn't changing as dramatically as it did the first time - living for ourselves vs. living for our child. We also know that, while the first few weeks are hard, there is so much love and joy that comes with a new baby and watching them learn and grow...and there is nothing better than that!

Here are a few pictures of the new baby's room:

I found the arrows online and my handy husband was able to recreate...and did a better job making them!
There is a mirror above dresser now. :)
Nate also made the triangle shelf above the bookcase...but, I had to cut it of b/c the baby's name is on the shelf. :)
