Unexpected doctors visit

Graham has been battling a stuffy nose for almost two weeks now - we've been using saline drops and an aspirator nonstop. We thought he was getting better but then yesterday he sounded worse. This morning he was still very congested, started having gunk in his eyes and was more fussy than normal, but still didn't have a fever. We called the doctor to see if there was anything else we could do for him or if we needed to bring him in. After explaining his symptoms to the nurse she said they wanted to see him. We took Graham in and the doctor examined him - she said his chest sounded clear, his ears looked good and that we were doing a great job of keeping his nose cleaned out. So, basically, we are doing everything right - the doctor told us to continue with the saline drops and aspirator, keep an eye on his temperature and to have him sleep elevated if he still sounds really congested.

We also got his current height and weight - at six weeks old Graham weighs in at 10 lbs 8 oz and is 22 3/4 inches tall (just under 3 lbs and 3 inches above his birth weight and height)! The doctor asked what we were feeding him - when I told her only breast milk she almost sounded surprised when telling us how great it was. That sure makes a momma happy!

Even with a stuffy nose, Graham was still happy before bath tonight. How cute is this little guy?!

One final picture for this post - Graham holding his own bottle before bed. :)
