Womb-mate Update

We’ve been a busy little familia lately and I just realized that it has been three weeks since I’ve given an update on this little bun…not that I would (or could) forget about him! This little peanut is an active little guy, much like his brother was. His prime kicking time is usually around 11pm – perfect! ;) But seriously, I have continued to feel great which I am beyond thankful for. I do have the occasional growing pain but that is fine…I’d be a little concerned if I didn’t have those. The heartburn that I had so bad with Graham has remained extremely mild which is a huge relief. I’m curious to see if this little babe will be a baldy. Other than that, the only thing I’m experiencing is frequent bathroom breaks…more so in the middle of the night than during the day. Luckily I’m able to go right back to sleep. I’m trying to take advantage of my sleep while it is (relatively) unaffected. I know that it will be harder to get comfortable in the coming weeks but, as of now, I’m still sleeping like a baby.

We had our 24-week appointment on Monday morning which included another growth sonogram. Everything looked great during the appointment – all the baby’s measurements were right on track, with his little noggin measuring about a week ahead. I love that we got to see him again too…and that we will continue to see him each month until he arrives. Our next appointment will be in a month when I am 28 weeks – this will include the lovely glucose test. We are currently chilling that “delicious” orange drink in our refrigerator until it’s time to me to suck it up and drink it down! Here’s hoping I pass that test with flying colors!
