It has been much longer than usual since I last blogged. We've been busy moving into our new home - YAY! - and getting settled...not to mention, we still don't have cable or internet b/c lines aren't run to our part of the subdivision yet so nobody provides service to us. That is the only part about our home that stinks (especially when Nate works from home and can't access the internet), but it has allowed us to be super-productive. Hopefully in the next few weeks this won't be an issue anymore. In the meantime, we'll continue to cut the silence by listing to lots of music and watching movies. Our builder's right-hand-man also gave us a contraption (the new form of "bunny ears") that allows us to get a few channels. Nate set it up last night and we get the networks so, even though we aren't huge TV people, there will be a little prime time entertainment in our lives. As far as getting settled, we're just about there! We finished picking up and organizing the basement over the weekend (huge feat). The living area is 98% put together...we just need to finish hanging things on the walls, including the TV (yikes). The garage still needs a little work but overall, we're pretty darn close!
I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to our family and friends who came to help us get moved. We know that lifting heavy furniture and boxes (sorry, the boxes are my fault), cleaning and organizing are the last things that anyone wants to do in their free time but we appreciate all of the help...including the food and babysitting services. :) We couldn't ask for better people in our lives!!
