36 weeks

Today I am 36 weeks pregnant! It is crazy that we are down to only 3-4 weeks left!! 

We had a doctor's appointment and growth ultrasound this morning and all is still looking great which is exactly what we want to hear! We got to see Baby H again and boy is he looking smooshed in there - it is estimated that he weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces which puts him in the 60th percentile. So, he started off large but he's leveling out to be pretty average. The doctor said that ultrasounds can be up to a pound off but, at this rate, he's thinking that the baby will be between 7 and 8 pounds at delivery. Let's hope he's right and we're not surprised with a huge bambino...yikes!

Here are a couple pictures from the ultrasound - they are hard to see because 1) Baby H is camera shy and 2) there is just not a lot of room left to allow for a good shot. A fun fact that we did find out during the ultrasound - the tech said that it looks like Baby H has some short hair! Based on the heartburn I've had throughout this whole pregnancy, I would have guessed a little more than "some short hair." :)

As far as symptoms go, I still have heartburn almost daily. There have been a couple nights that have been so bad that it's kept me up...but, luckily those nights are few and far between. I have also noticed that I get tired and winded very easily...this stinks but reminds me that I'm nearing the end so I've been doing my best to suck it up. And, my most recent symptom that appeared only yesterday...swollen piggies. Luckily the swelling is pretty minor and it's only me feet...let's hope it stays that way. This last stretch is really the only time that I've been uncomfortable during the whole pregnancy so I still feel SO lucky! However, I am definitely to the point now where I am feeling ready for Baby H to arrive!

In other news, I'm so glad Nate and I decided to stay home starting in March. Last weekend was relaxing...and amazing! We went to the movies, slept in, took naps and just hung out. I also got a haircut, pedicure, prenatal massage and my hospital bag packed...so, not only am I feeling ready, I'm actually ready to grab the bag (or I should say for Nate to grab the bag) and go!
