We have been so fortunate to have lots of visitors lately and this weekend was no exception. Some of our closest friends - Worm (Nate’s childhood / life-long friend) and his wife Kim - came up to stay with us. Friday night was pretty low-key - we had dinner and just spent the evening catching up. Saturday, Kim had plans to meet up with a couple of her college friends that she hadn’t seen in years and the boys had an afternoon tee time. So, to fill my time, I went shopping and got a mani/pedi...my kind of day! :)
Saturday evening when Kim was back in town and the boys were done golfing, we hung out at our house with Nick and Joel (Nick’s childhood friend who was also in town visiting) and Nate’s coworker/buddy Matt and his wife Devon playing ping pong and old school Nintendo (the original). It was a great weekend with friends.
On Sunday, Nate and I spent the day relaxing, watching movies/basketball and just being together. We did a couple things around the house and went on a little dinner date at Texas Roadhouse, followed by dessert...s’mores at home! It was a great way to end our weekend!
I was bad about taking pictures this weekend but I did get a good one of Nate and Worm at Scheels on Saturday morning. We’ve been having problems with barn swallows building muddy nests on our front porch. (Note - I’m terrified of birds...weird, I know...so they really need to go away!) Nate has knocked the nests down a few times and they keep coming back...making a disgusting mess every time. So, Nate had the bright idea to get a BB gun. After the boys picked up the gun, they found some sweet hats...
