The Home Improvements Continue

On a mission to get our home painted, and not wanting to tackle painting around all of our furniture and especially up the stairs (I don’t even want to think about taping all of that), we hired a painter that Nate knows from one of his accounts. He started taping/painting on Wednesday and should finish up this week. In the meantime, our house is kind of a disaster but will totally be worth it when it’s done!
This weekend, Nate left early Saturday morning to get some hunting work done at Grandma and Grandpa Cooper’s farm. Jeremy and Wes met him there to help and Andee, Derek and the kids were also there. I’m jealous that I couldn’t go along and see Gma and Gpa but I had the ADDY awards (advertising club I’m a member of) in Des Moines so I stayed behind to attend while Nate traveled on to Gallatin for the annual Testicle Festival (aka - mountain oyster fry).
While Nate was away, I got the final bathroom painted - thank goodness! I really struggled with the color of this bathroom. When I finally decided I had three different test colors on the wall...and I didn’t go with any of them. I’m happy with the way it turned and and so thankful that I’m done with bathrooms.
In other news - Nate’s doctor said this week that he doesn’t have to wear the boot on his foot anymore. He still has a brace but hopefully his foot/ankle will continue to heal and when he goes back to the doctor in a couple weeks he’ll get more good news.
