6-Months

So, I realize I just posted about Cash turning 5-month but, in the blink of an eye, he is now 6-months old. As each month passes, I am in shock at how fast the time is going. I love seeing Cash grow and start to figure out the world around him but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get a little sad when I pack away more of the clothes he has outgrown. Cash is getting more fun everyday – he is such a little ham! He is so smiley and, for the most part, happy (aside from that temper J). He has always been a bit of a mama’s boy, especially when he is upset about something, but he definitely has that sweet spot for his daddy. It is so cute watching him watch Nate…and that huge grin that always comes. And, I can’t compete with the boys when it comes to making Cash laugh…maybe one day I’ll be as funny as Nate and Graham. J

Cash has been “talking” more so I’m sure that before long we’ll have little two jabber boxes running around our house. In other news, we’re still introducing new foods – Cash has warmed up to the different flavors and hasn’t been too picky. He is still spitting up quite a bit but hopefully that become less frequent as he grows. Sleeping – we finally had to let the babe cry it out…getting up 4-5 times a night was wearing on us too much; especially since we were used to sleeping all night just two months ago. The first night Cash screamed for 15 minutes before he final gave up…then he woke a few hours later and cried for 5 minutes. The next night he screamed for 5 minutes…followed by a 2-minute episode a few hours later. So…not nearly as bad as it could have be. Don’t get me wrong – hearing him cry and not consoling him is absolute torture on both Nate and me but, no sleep is also torture. Cash has definitely improved but we’re still waiting for the little stinker to get back to sleeping like he was.

Cash is still working on rolling from his back to his tummy – he’s getting close but most of the time there is someone talking to him so he doesn’t find a huge need to roll somewhere. He’s spoiled…by pretty much everyone who interacts with him. He’s still working on those teeth…we keep checking but haven’t see anything pop through yet. We’ve been able to get outside some lately with spring-like temperatures and Cash is so happy when he’s outside. He just sits back and relaxes…which is great considering the rest of his family loves the outdoors as well.

Overall, Cash has been such a little blessing and we couldn’t be more in love with him!
