Six Years
Since my last post, Nate and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. I can't believe that we've been married for six years...and together for a decade now. While Nate says to seems like six minutes...under water...(he's kidding, I think), our time together has flown by. I think back to when we met in college and how much carefree fun we had. Then we moved to the long-distance years of our relationship and how we learned to communicate. Next were our two years in Chicago where we learned to rely only on each other, since that's all we had - these were our hardest years where we both grew up and grew closer together. Following Chicago was our five-year stint in Des Moines - where we became a family, bought our first home and had our first baby. And now, we've been in Kansas City for over two years - built our second home where we brought home our second baby. When I think about each of these periods in our lives, they are filled with so many wonderful memories, primarily because of one person - my husband. I'm so grateful for our last six years and can't wait to see what's amazing things our future has in store.
