Our little Cash baby is one month old already...I can't believe it! He has been such a great baby, although he has become more gassy lately which has made him a little fussier, but he usually calms down as soon as he's consoled. Hopefully he outgrows the gassiness in the next couple of weeks - I hate seeing him in pain. We've been to the doctor a couple times since Cash was born - once at two weeks and once at four weeks. At his two-week appointment the doctor heard a little heart murmur so she wanted us to come back again in two weeks so she could have another listen. At four weeks, Cash had gained over a pound from his previous visit (growing boy!). The doctor listened to his heart and thought she could still hear a little murmur - however, she wasn't too concerned with what she heard so she's just going to check again at his two-month appointment. Hopefully it is completely gone then.
Beyond that, Cash is doing great! He goes to bed between 10 and 11pm, gets up between 2 and 3am to eat and then goes back to bed until between 6 and 7am. I'm okay with that - it could definitely be a lot worse. :) He is awake more often during the day and I've even been able to get some smiles out of him which just makes me melt! Seeing those little grins excites me for all the adorable things to come - giggles, belly laughs, coos, and the list goes on. Motherhood...though it's the hardest job there is, it is by far the greatest!
