28 Weeks...3rd (& final) Trimester

Well, we've made it to the final third trimester...I can't believe it! I've said it before but this pregnancy is flying by. When we first found out we were pregnant we were one of six couples that we're close to that was expecting. One by one our friends have had their babies...now my high school bestie and I are the last two pregos standing. Crazy!

Today I had my 28 week check-up and gestational diabetes screening. The appointment went fine - Nate came with me and we asked the doctor questions about some strange contraction-type symptoms that I've been noticing. I wasn't sure if they were just Braxton Hicks contractions or if they were something more, brought on by work stress. The doctor told us some warning signs to watch out for but currently is not too concerned which put my mind at ease! And, hopefully my stressful work situation is starting to and will continue to get better so I can relax a little more and keep myself, and more importantly the baby, healthy! The doctor also told us that the baby is still measuring 3-4 week ahead so we have another ultrasound scheduled for next Wednesday. A big baby doesn't exactly get me pumped for labor but, in the meantime, I love getting to see him every month! Lastly, I didn't receive a call saying I have gestational diabetes so I think I passed the test...whew!
