26 Weeks on December 28th

Nate and I came back to Des Moines on December 28th. Being 26 weeks into my pregnancy (now almost 27 weeks), I'm becoming more and more aware that there really isn't that much time left before the baby will be here...so, I had quite the to-do list for us before we head back to work on January 2nd. We took down all the Christmas decorations (which I typically leave up until mid-January) and cleaned the house. We went through all of our boxes in the basement, cleaned out a ton of old stuff from when we were kids/in school, took a load to good will and cleaned/organized everything. I ran errands around Des Moines, got groceries, and I found a bookcase for the nursery which we then assembled. I also organized the kitchen cabinets to make room for bottles, kid dishes, etc. I guess you can say that I'm entering the "nesting" phase...or I'm just crazy about having our home in order - it's really a toss-up. :)

Besides my belly growing - it seems to get bigger every day - my symptoms have remained the same (occasional heartburn and frequent trips to the bathroom), and mild at that. I feel so lucky to be having such a great pregnancy. I know that there is still plenty of time for things to get uncomfortable but, if my only complaint is that it takes me longer to find an outfit that I'm happy with, I think I'm doing just fine! :)

One thing that I'm loving right now - all of the movements! Nate feels the baby on a daily basis, my mom felt the baby move on Christmas and Brady thinks the baby kicks him in the face when he hugs me; however, the baby has never actually moved when B says he was kicked. :) Nate and I can also see the movements which is so crazy and, even though I can't tell what the body part are, we can definitely feel knees, elbows and a bum and/or head when the baby is moving around. It's awesome!
