While Cash is still 9 months, I thought I better get to
posting his monthly update. J
This little guy is growing like a weed! I get him out of bed
in the morning and I feel like he grew so much from when I laid him down the
night before. He’s outgrowing clothes that I swear I just pulled out for him. He
is so alert and has to know what is going on with everyone around him…it is
obvious that he suffers from FOMO, like the rest of his family! He loves when
the attention is on him, and definitely lets you know if he’s not getting
enough. The kid is such a little wiggle worm and squirms around to get where he
wants to be. He’s still not crawling – although he’s been acting like he’s going
to start for weeks now – but he gets up on all fours and then rolls and scoots
himself under all the furniture and straight to brother’s toys. He also loves
to eat…if he sees him cereal for baby food and you aren’t feeding him, he will
freak out on you. We are also testing out some different table foods b/c he is
always so interested in what we are eating. We are still cautious about what we
give him as he just popped through his first two teeth (bottom two) and he is
still pretty gaggy. He is such a happy baby! He laughs at anything his brother does and gets the biggest smile when he sees his daddy first thing in the morning and when we get home from daycare. His favorite games are "So Big" and mimicking noises with people (particularly a grunt or the noise when you tap fingers over your mouth). He also loves to play in the bath, especially if his brother is in there too!
We visited the doctor for Cash’s well child visit and all
looks good…aside from the hand, foot and mouth virus he had and the ear
infection. We knew about the virus but talk about feeling horrible when you
find out your child has an ear infection you didn’t know about. The only thing
we are trying to focus on is making sure he gets enough milk since that is
still the main source for his nutrients. Since he is becoming more interested
in food, he’s been fighting taking his bottles. He just doesn’t seem that
interested…even taking a sippy cup. And, being the peanut that he is, I want to
make sure he’s getting everything he needs. I guess it is a mother’s job to
worry, right?!
Here are Cash’s 9-month stats:
Weight: 16 lb, 14 oz (10th percentile)
Height: 29.25” (75th percentile)
