We've had a couple very fun weekends lately. Two weekends ago was the Fourth of July - we started off our long weekend by going to Kearney on Thursday night to watch the fireworks. We arrived an hour before the sun set so Graham got to run around in the field where we parked, play with all the other kiddos and make new "buddies." When the fireworks started, we hung out as a family on the tailgate, having a little snack and enjoying the awesome show. Graham was a big fan!

Friday was a beautiful day spent at Andee and Derek's pool with their family. That evening we stayed home, grilled out and shot off our own fireworks in the cul-de-sac. Graham was so happy and excited to watch...and his Mama was a little nervous that he was so eager to help. Don't worry, my overprotective self kept him at a safe distance! Saturday and Sunday were similar stories and included lots of time outside, family time and fun with friends! Now, if only every weekend was three days.

This weekend was another busy on...starting on Thursday night when Nate and I went to Power and Light for their free Hot Country Nights concert. We saw Josh Abbott Band and Randy Rogers Band...two of our faves! We kicked off the actual weekend with a family sushi date on Friday...we packed a sandwich for Graham but he also enjoyed a little of Mom and Dad's sushi. Seriously...there isn't much this kid won't eat! Saturday we had a "house-warming" party with my girlfriends and their husbands. Cristin and Jon were even in town from Virginia so we got a little extra quality time with them which was awesome...we can't wait for the day that we live closer together and can see them on a more regular basis! Sunday was Cristin's baby shower and then Graham's buddy Landon's birthday party. So much fun packed into one weekend left us tired on Sunday evening (and Monday morning :)) but so grateful for all the amazing people in our lives!
