With all the craziness lately (our new normal), I'm a little behind on blog posts. Here is a quick update of our last couple of weeks. After my last day at The Meyocks Group on 7/31, we spent the next week and a half packing up our home. Nate was still working so I took the lead on packing and left the heavy lifting to him, literally. Our good buddy, Jeff Sharp, was gracious enough to take in our family of three until we can get into an apartment before ultimately moving into a permanent residence.
Nate's parents came up to Des Moines and helped us finish packing and loading up our first trailer (Thank You!) last Friday and then we headed down to KC on Saturday afternoon. We had a day to get settled before I started my new job at United Country Real Estate and Graham started at his new daycare. So far we all seem to be adjusting to our new life. I think all of the changes are starting to be a little tough for our babe - he's been extra clingy to Nate and I lately - but he's rolling with the punches as best as he can...same goes for his mom and dad. Needless to say, it will be amazing when we find a home and get settled again. Until then, I don't think it will feel like we really live here.
Here are a few pics from our moving preparations. Nate traveled back to Des Moines yesterday to load a truck full of the rest of our stuff and Jeremy, Jeff and him unloaded it into our storage unit today - we should be officially moved now.

Before we left, we had to take in he Iowa State Fair one last time as Iowa residents. We got of fix of fair foods (yum!) and took Graham around to look at the animals. It was a great way to say goodbye!

To end this post - here are a few pictures from our first week at Jeff's house. We are so grateful to have such amazing friends and family that both took us in - Jeff - and offered to let us stay with them - the list is long. We are so blessed!
